A move out clean is not a bigger version of a regular clean. A regular clean is judged by how a home feels to live in. A move out clean is judged by one person walking through an empty unit with a checklist, looking specifically for the things tenants miss — and every item they find comes out of your deposit.
That is why our move out service, The Fresh Start, is organized around inspection points rather than rooms. The inside of the oven, the inside of the refrigerator, and the inside of cabinets and drawers are included as standard, because those three are the most common deductions on a move-out statement. On a standard or deep clean, those same items are paid add-ons.

Interior windows, laundry and dishes are available as add-ons if the unit needs them. Carpet shampooing and exterior window washing are not services we offer — if a lease requires professional carpet cleaning, we will tell you so you can book a carpet specialist alongside us rather than discovering the gap at the walkthrough.
Apartments and condos make up a large share of this work, and they are inspected more rigidly than houses — property management companies tend to use a standardized form, so the same items come up every time.
Apartments are also faster and cheaper to clean than houses, simply because there is less square footage. A one-bedroom unit is at the bottom of our pricing, and our estimator prices by size rather than by bedroom count, so a compact two-bedroom is not charged like a large one.
A few things worth knowing if you are leaving an apartment:
The other direction matters too. A unit that has been sitting vacant, or that was cleaned by whoever the property manager could get cheapest, is worth cleaning before your things go in — it is the only time you will ever have clear access to the inside of every cabinet and closet. Same service, same price, and it is far quicker when the unit is empty.
For rental houses, the stakes are usually larger deposits and a private landlord rather than a management company, which cuts both ways: the inspection may be less formal, but disagreements are less predictable.

Ideally, yes. An empty home lets us clean inside cabinets, behind appliances and along baseboards properly. We can clean around remaining furniture, but we can't guarantee what's underneath it — and that's usually where deposit disputes start.
